How to manipulate people – Recording

I really had no idea for my recording. While searching the web for my 50 phrases, I wanted to find a sentence with the words “address a problem” and I found a text dealing with how to address an embarrassing problem. Then, I found another one among the results which explained how to manipulate people. It was much more interesting! (It doesn’t necesarily mean that I’m gonna use it…)

Laser Pen

As we all are in an engineering school, we have to be able to elaborate new products and new technologies. Let’s talk about our brand new product: the LaserPen!

What are the features ?

  • Thousands of colors in only one pen.
  • You can pick a color from any object because a color picker is in your pen!
  • Not only can it write but it is also a color picker.
  • You will have more room in your pencil holder.
  • Your pencil holder will be lighter.

How does it work?

  • There is no ink, it is laser print.
  • You can save your colors and create your own palet which you will find very useful.
  • LaserPen is good for the environment, you can recharge it with solar energy.
  • It is made with a very strong material (which is unbreakable !).
  • It is a very thin and light object.
  • A little hologram screen is beamed so you can interact with other people ( a wifi connection enables you to exchange your palet).
  • You can also save other data (just like you currently do with your USB key).
  • While you are writing with your pen you can also send your text to people because the pen converts your handwrited text in digital format.
  • It is waterproof so you can write everywhere even under the water!

School of Chicken

We had to invent a story which included some of our important words or phrases… Written by Grégoire Badoual and I.

This is a story about a chicken called “Tle-Li”. Tle-Li has no wings. He’s trying to find his origins. He wonders how he lost his wings but nobody cares.

He hopes that when he grows up, he will become the first space chicken without wings. To reach his goal, he has to call president Obama. He would like to honor all American chickens.

Besides, he’d like to build the first ski resort on the moon (without snow).

The point is that building this kind of resort will bring much more chickens on the moon. Nevertheless, it will empty some KFC restaurants.

Where does it come from?

Guess the title of the movie, song or serie from the quotes! (Try not to cheat with Mr Google :p )

1. “And it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month or even your year”

2. “Give this to Kevin”

3. “I ain’t got 70 days and there’s nothing, there’s nothing you can teach me”

4. “I burnt my foot very badly on my Foreman grill”

5. “We were on a break!”

6. “I’m gonna teach you how to live”

7.  “People always told me, be careful of what you do, and don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts”

8. “The good people of the world are washing their cars, on their lunch break, hosing and scrubbing as best they can in skirts in suits”

9. “And every time you speak her name, does she know how you told me you’d hold me until you died, til you died, but you’re still alive”

10. “There was a game we used to play, we would hit the town on Friday night and stay in bed until Sunday”

Quiiiiizzz VS. Fizz Buzz

Some of the students don’t really like playing to Fizz Buzz, so our teacher suggested that we play to another game: we have to find interesting sentences and put blanks in it. The goal is to find the missing words!

- Coming from a 2D [ ... ] is still a really great training. (1 word)

- We have so many different projects [ ... ... ] all the time. (2 words)

- There’s definitely [ ... ] to having people who have been there for a little while, that you’re not constantly training new people. (1 word)

How to become a geek?

Hi everybody!

Even if you already know what a geek is when you are in IMAC school (some of the IMAC students are actually geeks), we wanted to give you the official recipe to become one. If you want to survive in this school, you have to learn this process by heart.
(Created by Aurore, Nicolas, Nassim, Yoann and I)

What do you need ?

- a beard
- big glasses
- Firefox and Linux stickers
- a computer with Linux operating system
- opera web browser
- to be single
- some cofee and coke
- to talk in binary language
- to know the universal answer
- to stay at your parent’s

Step 1 : Never leave your computer

Step 2 : Design your own software (for example Imagimp instead of Photoshop)

Step 3: Throw all your razors away

Step 4 : Speak only to people online even if they are next to you and use IRC instead of MSN

Step 5 : Finish all video games in two days without sleeping.

Step 6 : Be a fan of Star-Treck

Step 7 : Go to Blizzard conferences

Optional (If you want to be “geekier” !)

- Correct articles on Wikipedia
- Learn by heart all Star-wars quotes
- Pay each month to play online games

Logo IMAC

I corrected the IMAC brochure. It is the first version. There may be a second one if I’m not eaten by Imagimp by the end of the first semester…
